WELCOME TO VACCIPHARMA 2009 |
VacciPharma 2009 is a Congress on Pharmacology of Vaccines, organised by the Cuban Society of Pharmacology and to be held from May 6th to 10th of 2009 in Sirenis La Salina Hotel, Varadero beach, our most famous touristic destiny.
Varadero is the most famous Cuban beach and the principal tourist place of sun and beach in this country. The open view, the vegetation, the warm weather, the transparence of its sea, and the white clay, make of Varadero an unforgetable destination.
The main topics of the Congress include the Potency and Safety tests and alternative methods for the vaccine evaluation, the Clinical Trials for preventive and therapeutic vaccines.
This is a Congress aiming to gather the most outstanding foreigner scientists and relevant Cuban specialists in order to promote the experience exchange, the presentation of results and the discussion on the topics already mentioned.

It is conformed by three different workshops, working in parallel: one focused in preclinical studies and the current status of animal safety and potency tests, their limitations and disadvantages, as well as the development of alternatives method based on the 3Rs principle (Reduction, Refinement and Replacement), a second one on clinical trials management, new trends on clinical trials design, new statistical approaches, clinical trials for vaccines based on new technologies and immunoepidemiological studies, and a third one dedicated to the development, manufacturing, basic research, preclinical studies and use of therapeutic vaccines.
Hence, the Congress will contribute to the Cuban scientific community updating in the field of the pharmacology of vaccines, and at the same time it will be a suitable framework to show the progress of our vaccines manufacturing and researching centres.
We invite you to join us at this unique occasion and combine the exciting field of vaccines and the pharmacological sciences with the treasures of Cuba and its beaches at the special place: Varadero.
